By creating a ConfiLearn account as a learner or a tutor you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy. Both roles must tick that consent, including when the account is created with Google. We store the consent version and the time you accepted it. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The current consent version is 2026-10-21.
You may be a learner, a tutor, or both. A school workspace (for example a secondary school) has admins, teachers, and enrolled students, a private timetable, and invite codes. Tutors must complete KYC before publishing paid content. You are responsible for the activity on your login.
If the learner is under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent and should supervise use. A parent can review purchases from the family tuition page and can ask us to close the account.
Tutors set their own price for a course, class, package, or session. ConfiLearn keeps 15% of the gross and the tutor receives 85%. The 15% is not added on top of the price the buyer sees at Paystack. Paystack's fee for M-Pesa, card, or bank is paid from ConfiLearn's 15%. It does not reduce the tutor's 85%. An affiliate, when one is attributed, earns a configurable share of the gross (default 5%) taken from that same 15%, for the first 12 months of the referred person's purchases. The platform's net after the fee and the affiliate cut is kept at or above 5% of the gross where the fee allows. If the fee would push the net under that floor, the affiliate cut is reduced, and if it is still under the floor the affiliate earns nothing on that sale. The tutor's 85% is never the source of the fee or the affiliate reward.
Checkout is Paystack only, in Kenyan shillings, by M-Pesa, card, or bank. We verify the charge before we grant access or credit a wallet. Refund requests follow the Refund Policy, generally within 7 days. Affiliate commission stays on hold through that refund window before it can be withdrawn, and there is a minimum payout threshold.
Tutors keep ownership of the lessons they publish and grant ConfiLearn a non-exclusive licence to host and show them to enrolled learners. Class recording needs the tutor's control and the learners' in-class agreement. Notes downloaded from a class carry the ConfiLearn mark and a watermark with the learner's name, email, and date.
Do not cheat payouts, self-refer, harass other users, upload unlawful content, or take payments off the platform for a booking that was offered on ConfiLearn. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. The courts of Kenya have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer right you have.
