Summary
ConfiLearn uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage items to keep you signed in, remember your settings and credit referrals. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data. The controller is The Beacon Studio, registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Strictly necessary
Sign-in session (Supabase auth tokens kept in your browser's local storage, removed when you sign out); sign-up progress (pending role, guardian and consent version, cleared after sign-up); security headers and request protection. These are required for the service to work and cannot be switched off.
Preferences
Theme (light or dark), language, dismissed announcements and notification prompts, saved posts and voice settings. These stay on your device only and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Referral cookie
When you open a tutor or affiliate referral link we set a first-party cookie named cl_ref for 30 days so the referrer is credited if you sign up. It contains only the referral code.
Error monitoring
If an error occurs we may send a scrubbed technical report (page, browser and error details, with personal data removed) to our error-monitoring provider so we can fix it. No advertising profile is built from it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary items will sign you out and some features will stop working. For questions or data requests see the Privacy Policy or contact us from the Help Center.
